Want a personalised or engraved sundial? Some of my sundials can be personalised with an engraved dedication or motto of your choice; alternatively I can supply a brass, stainless steel or weather-resistant laminate plaque which can be fixed to the plinth or pedestal. Some suggested dedications for your personalised sundial are listed here.

The top band of most of my armillary sundials can be engraved.

I can engrave directly on to the gnomon of the Spot On Brass or the dial plate of the Border sundial as well as the top of the small Wall Mounted sundial.

Dedication Plates for any sundial

These are available in brass, stainless stel or weather-resistant laminate. They are all available in 2 sizes as shown below.

The smaller one measures approximately 3 ¹/²" by 1 ¹/²" (9cm by 4 cm) and has space for up to 3 lines each with a maximum of 25 characters making a total of 75 characters including spaces

The large plaques measures 4" by 2" (10 by 5cm) and can be engraved with up to 4 lines 30 characters in each making a total of 120 characters including spaces.

Armillary Sundials - up to 150 characters on the dial itself

The top bar of many of my armillary sundials can be engraved with a dedication of your choice. In the photos on this website most of the armillary sundials are shown with this bar at the bottom. It is a simple matter to move the bottom bar to the top - as the photo below shows

Available on: Courtyard, Archimedes, Border, Galileo, Pliny, Plato, Sovereign Kepler and Jubilee.

Not available on the Ptolemy Celeste or Penthouse Crescent.

Spot On Engraved Gnomon - up to 60 characters

One or both sides of the gnomon on the Spot On Sundial can be engraved with your own dedication. The charge is per side with a maximum of 60 characters a side.p>

The top of the small wall mounted sundial can be engraved with your own dedication. The maximum number of characters that can be sensibly engraved is 60.
